This month’s experiment: tossed desert grass seed down the morning after irrigation, before the water has fully seeped into the ground.

I figure one of several results will happen:

1. Birds will land and eat the seed, I will have no new grass.
2. Grass seed won’t germinate with the water, I will have no new grass.
3. Grass will germinate, sheep will eat when young, I will have no lasting new grass.
4. Grass will germinate and establish, I will have new grass, sheep will be happier.
5. Nothing, and I will have no new grass and no idea why not.

Hoping for the fourth option.
